Both the rooms and washrooms were extremely dirty, with broken fittings and a bad smell that lingered throughout the property. The cleanliness and customer service made for a very poor experience. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

We checked in at 4 AM. The staff and boss were very kind and helpful, especially when we needed information about JAFFNA.

The rooms were clean and well maintained, and the reception was attentive, responding promptly to any questions. The customer service was good too. The pillaiyar Inn is in the center of Jaffna town, with access to many routes, and the price is reasonable. For me, it’s the best place to stay in Jaffna, and I strongly recommend it.

The rooms were in such terrible condition that we couldn’t stay there. We didn’t even last 2-3 hours before asking to check out, but they refused to refund us. The owner and manager treated us like stray dogs trying to enter their property. I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in plenty of badly maintained hotels, but this was the worst I’ve ever experienced. On the phone, the owner and manager acted professional so we’d book a room and pay in advance. After we arrived, things went downhill. They’re very money-minded. If you’re reading this, please don’t go to this hotel. I suggest finding a better place nearby.
