Ceyloni Panorama Resort

The food was exceptional, and the rooms had lovely, picturesque views. A telephone was provided, but without an intercom number it was hard to contact reception or housekeeping. Since the resort is in the hills, blankets would have been useful.

The balcony view was spectacular, which was about the only real plus. Getting there meant dealing with a very narrow road. We booked suddenly because we thought there was a pool, but there wasn’t one, and a guest photo had given us the wrong impression. Our suite room itself was good and the meals were delicious, though the morning buffet wasn’t worth the price: just some toast and a small serving of noodles with two curries.

The people working here were so professional and helpful. I left my purse in the restaurant and they called me right away, thank you! We spent a couple of days here and ate both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was huge, with bread, eggs, sausages, yoghurt, a fruit plate, coffee and juice. We had rice and curry for dinner, and it was super delicious. The hotel was very clean and the service was excellent. The mountain setting was beautiful, with one of the best views in Kandy, looking out at the mountains, river and a Buddha statue. You can walk into town or take a short tuk tuk ride to Kandy city and the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Highly recommended.

Meals were a real highlight. The buffet had freshly prepared dishes, presented nicely, with plenty of flavor and a good mix of local food and international favorites. Staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. I stayed in a spacious suite that felt both welcoming and luxurious, with comfortable furnishings and modern conveniences. The view from the bed was wonderful, and waking up to the panorama of the city and surrounding hills each morning was unforgettable. Ceyloni Panorama Hotel lived up to its name. I’d highly recommend it for a memorable stay.
