The manager and the bell uncle were both really helpful, though the woman at reception could probably use more training. We had a great short stay. It's a classic hotel, everything in the clean room worked, and there was a big balcony.

I stopped by the rooftop bar one evening for a drink, and the view from up there was breathtaking. The food and drinks were top notch, with reasonable prices, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. It's an old hotel right in the heart of the city, and a very good spot for an evening drink in Kandy.

The rooftop bar serves beer, and breakfast has plenty to choose from. Rooms are comfortable with hot showers, and the pool is good too. Great location, plus the staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

The rooms are clean, and the staff are efficient and helpful, but staying here was noisy because of the central location. The decor feels very tired. Balcony doors don't shut, so mosquitoes keep getting into the room. Socket plates are loose and the electricity is a bit inconsistent, while the pillows are far too hard. The hotel is ideally placed in central Kandy, though.

Don't miss the rooftop bar and restaurant for the city views. The hotel is right in the heart of Kandy, next to the Temple of the Tooth, so it's easy to get around on foot. Excellent service and food.
