The restaurant was well maintained and equipped, and although we were the only local guests among the foreigners, we were treated really well. The F&B manager was especially impressive, going far beyond his job. They served different cuisines and gave local food a special place on the menu. The staff were all very nice and well trained, and we had a satisfying one night stay. I’d stay again. We came for one night before the next day’s SL Vs Australia cricket match. The drive was well guided, so we didn’t get lost or waste time. The setting didn’t feel like Kandy, more like N’eliya. I’d booked a basic room, and basic it was, with only the essentials. For one night I can’t really complain, though I felt it could offer a little more for the price. The rooms are built close together, so we wanted a bit more privacy. The small property is packed with rooms, and I wish some attention had gone to the best view spots. Sadly, those are blocked by roofs.

The view is a real highlight, with a peaceful Kandy backdrop, and the hotel has a calm, relaxing feel that makes it a nice place to spend an afternoon. At 3500 per person, the high tea buffet at Fox Resorts Kandy feels worth the price overall. The food was fresh, tasty, and nicely presented, with sweet and savory choices, though I’d have liked a wider selection for the price. Drinks are included, and the iced coffee was a nice touch. There was enough to enjoy the food without needing extra drinks or refills. Friendly, attentive staff kept the service smooth, so it was a comfortable, relaxed visit. More variety would improve the buffet, but it’s still a good high tea option in Kandy.

That steep road up to the hotel is a bit of a climb, but the setting is fantastic. We had lunch and dinner there too, and both were delicious. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and well looked after, and the staff were very friendly. The pool was lovely, especially early in the morning when mist often covered it. It cleared quickly, but looked beautiful while it lasted. We had a wonderful time.

The drive up is long, narrow, and winding, but the mountain views and setting make it well worth it. We had a lovely stay at Fox Kandy. The rooms are spacious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The pizzas are made fresh, with a really delicious sauce. My mum said it was the best pizza she’d ever had. Special thanks to Lahiru and Anuradha, who work so hard and go above and beyond for guests. Thanks so much!

The staff made us feel so welcome and looked after us with real warmth. Thank you to Wasantha, Amith, Malintha, and Isuru for arranging a surprise for us and making the stay memorable. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail really stood out, and the service was prompt and always came with a smile. Fox Kandy Hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were beautifully maintained, the food was delicious, and the views were stunning, the best in Kandy. It sets a high standard for comfort and hospitality. We can’t wait to return.
