We spent two nights at Priya Homestay while exploring the area, and it was a peaceful, comfortable place for the price. Our room had AC, and we woke to birdsong among all the greenery. Breakfast each morning was a treat, with village-style string hoppers, dhal curry, and coconut sambol. The location worked well for the cultural triangle, with Kandalama Lake nearby and Sigiriya and Dambulla Golden Temple within easy reach. Lahiru was a fantastic host, friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. A lovely, authentic stay at a very affordable price.

Priya made our stay especially memorable. He took us on free bike rides around the village, arranged drivers for hire, and even came along as a guide for our dawn hike up Pidurangala. We also loved the food at his restaurant next door. The rooms are comfortable and good for the price, though now and then a lizard might wander inside. It's an easy base for Sigiriya and Dambulla. The photo is of Priya offering us king coconuts from his tree.

A clean, good value place that works well for a group. The restaurant on site has a nice rustic atmosphere, though the kottu we ordered wasn't the best.

The setting was gorgeous, with beautiful surroundings and tasty food. The owner was really friendly, and our room and bathroom were spotless. It's a little way out of town, but that didn't bother us at all. We loved our stay here! 💚

We had our laundry done here, which was a big help. The rooms were cleaned each day and the garden was lovely, with a nicely situated restaurant serving good food. It's a quiet spot, and both the owner and staff were friendly.
