Heritage Boutique by Seven Angels

Right by the temple gate, this boutique hotel is convenient if you're coming for the maligawa pooja for a couple of days. It's a city hotel, but surprisingly quiet, and has clean, spacious rooms and a lot of history. Ask GM Roshan about the property and nearby buildings; the story was really interesting and informative. Sahan, our young and handsome butler, provided top-notch service. There's parking right out front, plus a small cafe with good breakfast and very good coffee. We'll definitely return and recommend it. Kudos to the team for the great hospitality and service.

I haven't stayed here, but I did have brunch at the restaurant. The banana milkshake was a delight, and we enjoyed the drinks, coffee, and Caesar salad. The portions were good, and the location, ambience, and cleanliness were all great. Excellent service too. We'd definitely recommend it.

We picked Heritage Boutique mainly for its location beside Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic), which was extremely convenient. Breakfast at the restaurant was delightful, with a choice of traditional Sri Lankan food or a Western English breakfast. We stayed in the Queen’s Room, one of four rooms named King, Queen, and two Prince rooms. It was spacious and well furnished, with a king-size bed, two bedside tables, a desk and chair, tea and coffee facilities, and a comfortable chair. A separate area had two more beds, another desk and chair, and an almirah, making it feel more like a suite. The bathroom seemed a little small beside the bedroom and extra room. Thanks to Sahan, Lakmal, and manager Gayan for the special, attentive service during our stay.

The staff were attentive and friendly, and the room had loads of space with a really comfortable big bed. The location was spot on, right by the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, with shops and bars close by.
