Jal,Min Homestay

The house is huge and sits by the river in a quiet area. There's room to park a tuk-tuk inside the gate, which can be locked. Pri is friendly and chatty, and the room is spacious with a fridge for keeping your things in. Breakfast was generous and enjoyable. I also loved seeing geckos wandering along the walls. I've seen them plenty before, but I never get tired of them.

The room had a peaceful view, the property was impressively well kept, and Pri made us a relaxed breakfast with traditional Sri Lankan dishes and a touch of American flavor. He's a fantastic host and chef, and his international experience makes him good company for chats. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days and the late-night conversations with him and the other guests, Brinda and Mike. We loved it so much we wanted to stay another 4-5 days, but an urgent matter meant we had to head back to our base. Wishing Pri loads of happiness, success, and luck. I'd recommend Jal Min homestay to everyone visiting Kandy.

It's a huge villa, easily the best place we stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka. Pri, the owner, speaks English fluently, helps with whatever you need, and makes a delicious breakfast. The bed was super comfortable, and our private bathroom had great water pressure. Amazing home and host! The only downside is being a bit out of town, so you need a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride to get to town.

Pri looked after us so well, and we felt the stay was very good value for money. We especially enjoyed the lovely breakfasts he made. Can't fault our time at Jal Min.
