Kandy Waters Hotel

We got there around midnight, and what we found was a dirty place with a bathroom we could hardly bear. The beds smelled and had stains, and there were old clothes left in the cupboards. It also didn’t seem to follow COVID sanitation guidelines. My family said they couldn’t stay. Since it was so late, none of the other affordable places we called picked up. A local man on the street helped us find a fantastic place instead. God saved us that night.

The rooms were neat and very clean, with AC, a decent amount of space, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was pretty nice too, with a strong hot shower, which can be hard to find in Sri Lanka. Staff were friendly, and breakfast came with fruit, toast, an omelette, and juice. For the price, it’s a very decent hotel. It’s a short walk from Khandy lake and the centre. A school next door can make some noise, but it’s children laughing, so it wasn’t too bad.

We’ll definitely come back. The location was great, breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were friendly and helpful, with plenty of local knowledge. Thanks so much. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hotel’s service and food are class. Right out front, the Kandy water is flowing all the time, and that steady sound is so soothing, like nature itself. If you understand the value of nature, it’s worth crores.
