The tent suite could use an update. The front wall takes effort to open and close, though you need it open to enjoy the view. There’s no room heating, and at this altitude the nights felt very cold for Sri Lanka. The shower water was sometimes only cool to warm. Wild dogs barked through the night, and wind made the tents noisy too. Since they’re technically open access, that noise could feel a bit scary. The spa is outdoors, which gets very chilly after sunset, around 6 pm. The shared areas were much more enjoyable. The scenery was exceptional even with the misty mountains’ unpredictable weather. We liked the beautiful pool and croquet, the restaurant with its spectacular view, and the fireplace, which was appreciated on cold February evenings. Staff and reception were kind and professional. The activities were nice, though a little pricey. Very good hotel, but excessively priced.

Waking up to that sunrise was priceless. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the staff were always smiling and super friendly. We had incredible views over the tea fields. One of the most unique and amazing places we’ve ever stayed. Highly recommend!

The biggest letdown for me was the lack of even a basic first-aid kit. I cut my foot on a rock, and there wasn’t a bandage large enough to cover it. It got infected and put a damper on my vacation. For a resort charging this much, that was disappointing. The food could also have been a lot better. The views and activities, including the pool, guided hikes, and spa, make it worth at least three stars.

My husband arranged a birthday surprise with the team, and they brought out a lovely cake. The food was good, the staff friendly, and the view felt like heaven. A fabulous experience. Thank you!

We came last year for New year, and the buffet they put on was mostly inedible. The food at the French restaurant inside the hotel was awful and incredibly overpriced too, so foodies should look elsewhere. Getting up there means driving a long, winding road along the cliff edge. Make sure you have a good driver, our car got stuck and needed help getting out of a ditch. This absolutely isn’t a 5* hotel.
