The meals stood out, with rich Sri Lankan flavours served to a fine dining standard. Ridee Boutique Hotel also has an elegant, peaceful feel and reflects Sri Lankan heritage beautifully. A special stay if you want sophistication with a local touch.

Asela was a real help, finding us drivers whatever the time and pointing us towards excellent local shops and craftspeople well away from the usual tourist route. The whole team made the stay feel personal and thoughtful. We also really appreciated the generous breakfast and the quality of service in this small boutique hotel.

The staff were really friendly and humble, and the meals were delicious. We enjoyed our day here. Thanks for the great hospitality.

The owner Asela and chef Sarath were so warm and welcoming, and the Sri Lankan curry set was a highlight. It came with five curries, including beet curry, which I’d never tried before and absolutely loved. The garden was beautiful, and walking through the gates felt like stepping into another world. We were three girls visiting from Japan and joked that we felt like Disney princesses. The rooms were spotless since the hotel is brand new, with plenty of beds and a comfortable place to rest after a long travel day. A temple just across from the inn chants sutras in the morning, which got us up early, lol, and added to the exotic feeling. Such a lovely experience. I’d stay again if I’m back in Kandy.
