Kandy Skyloft

The room was great, and THE VIEW was fantastic. That alone makes this place worth considering, and I’ll upload two photos in case they help anyone. Service was nearly amazing, and the staff were great. We ate elsewhere, so didn’t try the food, though I imagine it might have been nice. The final stretch of the drive was a fun little adventure, a nonstop climb with a few sudden turns 😅. Awesome job team Skyloft! 🙌🏼

The kitchen team, chef included, were kind and attentive, and the food was excellent. Reception was just as welcoming, and check-in and the rest of our stay went smoothly. Hotel Sky Loft was our favorite hotel in Sri Lanka. We felt well looked after and would gladly come back. Highly recommend!

From the balcony, you get lovely mountain views at 680m above sea level, with a light breeze and birdsong. It’s a peaceful weekend escape from Kandy’s bustle, but getting here is tough without a driver. The hotel has an infinity pool and function space on top, both with wonderful views. Our room was modern, with aircon, a ceiling fan, strong internet, and cable channels. The TV isn’t smart, so casting isn’t an option. The bed had only a thin sheet for a blanket, no duvet or comforter. The toilet was good, with a strong rain shower, hot and cold water, and a hair dryer. Breakfast was limited but tasty, with a broad Western spread, a few local choices, and lots of local fruit. There were a few minor flaws, like unpainted repair patches on the wall and a misaligned toilet seat, but they didn’t bother me much. I’d definitely recommend it.

The rooftop pool view was heavenly 🌄✨, and our city view room was amazing. It was clean, modern, comfortable, and kept to a high standard. We had a bed and breakfast package that was great value. Breakfast was delicious and well prepared, and every staff member was exceptionally friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay, highly recommended for a Kandy visit.
