Dinaka Rest

Dinaka rest is our usual choice in katharagama because the prices are affordable and the staff are kind. We keep coming back, and they always do their best for us. The person who looks after the place is gentle and humble, and kindly arranges just about anything. Rooms are spacious, with clean sheets, linens and bathrooms, and there's a good amount of parking. You can choose AC or non-AC rooms, both with flat screen TVs. The food is good too if you order it from the rest house.

The staff and owner were friendly and helpful, and the guest house is in a peaceful setting. The rooms are clean and roomy enough for a family. For the price, it's a good value and a suitable place for a family visit.

At Dinaka Rest (Dinaka Rest), I found the place clean and the customer service very friendly. The rates are reasonable for the quality, and you can book by phone with an advance payment. Rooms have A/C, satellite TV, wifi, hot water and other facilities. I saw 5A and 15A plug points around the room, but no 13A square-pin socket, so bring a multi plug. There's a separate public dining area, and meals can be requested. They also arranged Yala safari jeeps for us at a reasonable Rs.4500/= in August 2018. Based on my experience, I had no complaints.

The staff were friendly, helpful and nice, but the rooms were in rough shape on our last visit and the toilets weren't clean. It was a good place when it first opened, but now it's terrible.
