We ended our stay with an early kayak trip around the lake. It was absolutely beautiful and a perfect close to an incredible visit. Earlier, the hotel had arranged a great full-day safari, where our excellent guide spotted all kinds of wildlife and found a leopard for us to watch for quite a while. This was our favorite place in Sri Lanka. The pickup from the nearby temple went smoothly, and after a short drive we arrived at a spotless room with great AC and a good shower. Lunch on the pontoon over the lake was delicious, then we spent the afternoon watching the wildlife in the surrounding jungle and lake.

We had a great one-night stay as a group. The staff met us at the property entrance so our vehicle wouldn't get stuck, and communication was easy despite any language difference. The spacious room was clean, the beds were comfortable, hot water was plentiful and the AC worked well. The chef was amazing. Staff also took us for an evening walk on the property, where we got to see so much wildlife. Excellent service from the whole team.

We were really impressed by the food, especially the curries. The cook was amazing. The place itself is a small project with just a few cabins tucked into lush greenery, so you get privacy and a peaceful night's sleep. The two brothers who own it are enthusiastic and very kind, and you can tell they care about what they're building. Thanks for everything!

We spent two nights here and really enjoyed being surrounded by forest and lake. It's a tiny lodge near the park, a lovely place to unplug for a while. The staff were very kind, and the food was delicious. We also booked a safari through them, and they organized everything smoothly, including breakfast and lunch boxes. Definitely recommend.

The people, the food, and the location all made this a special stay. It's a great area for a safari, which they can arrange too. Such a lovely place in Yala, and an amazing experience! :)
