Bombay Bicycle Club Bentota

We were treated well throughout our five days at the Bombay Bicycle Club, even though tourism was having a hard time and petrol queues could stretch to two hours. The staff did a great job, and both the food and service were excellent despite the problems affecting the country. The property is well cared for and has a great pool. As a retired baker, I also got to make bread with the chefs, which I really enjoyed. One warning about our room: there's a step I tripped over early one morning. Ouch! The hotel deserves support.

The staff went far beyond what you'd expect: after we accidentally left our iPods in the room, one of them spent two hours on a bus to bring them to our next stop. The food at the restaurant was lovely too, and the service was just as good. As for the setting, the lawn opens straight onto a quiet beach with white sand, coconut trees, and bright blue water. The rooms face the sea. We had an amazing stay, so do yourself a favour and book it!

You feel tucked away on a quiet beach here, with good waves and nice walks. The rooms face straight onto the shore, and the staff were brilliant. Breakfast was great, too. They also offer free tuk tuk rides nearby, which is a lovely extra. Perfect spot in Induruwa, and we'll definitely be back!

The staff were all friendly and knew their jobs, and the chef was excellent. We had fantastic vegetarian rice and curry, with different dishes to try each evening. The chef even drove us in the hotel tuktuk, which was included in the price. My family and I were lucky to spend many nights at BBC. The beach nearby felt almost like it was ours alone, and though the waves were big, swimming in them was so much fun. There's plenty to do around there, from boat trips, Galle, temples and wellness massages to simply unwinding by the pool or on the beach.
