Johnson, the manager, made our stay feel special. He takes time to talk with each guest, and his friendliness and helpfulness come from how much he cares about the resort. The food was freshly cooked, delicious, and came in a good range of cuisines, with room service available too. We enjoyed the Ayurvedic spa in its lovely outdoor setting, especially the Shirodhara, and the infinity pool looks out over the hills and mountains. The resort is quiet, tucked into lush forest just outside Ella, with only five Pavillion huts and four villas. We spent our first night in an outdoor Pavillon hut, listening to wildlife as we fell asleep, then moved to a larger indoor villa with tastefully decorated rooms. A hidden gem with splendid hill views.

We’d planned to spend the day out, but liked the property so much that we stayed in and listened to the sounds of nature. It’s a peaceful oasis in the forest, with helpful staff and plenty of activities. The food and drinks were wonderful, with spices from their own garden. A lovely chance to get back to nature while in Sri Lanka.

The spa has an extensive range of treatments, and we had a wonderful experience. After hiking up to Diyaluma Falls, the beautiful pool was just right for a rest. We also took a day trip to Ella, which the hotel arranged for us. Since the hotel is a little remote, having cocktails and dinner there in the evening is a great option. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and generous. We stayed in a beautiful, cool suite with a comfortable bed, a day bed, and lounge chairs in the indoor and outdoor sitting areas. Each room clean came with fresh water, tea, and coffee. Around the property, there’s a beautiful forest and a private waterfall. It made a tranquil retreat in the middle of our two weeks in Sri Lanka. A must-stay in the area!

The infinity pool was irresistible, and I loved trying a different spa massage each day. The meals were a highlight too, from breakfast through dinner, all carefully planned, delicious, and beautifully presented. I spent three days in one of the five jungle pavilions, suspended over the forest among palm trees and green mountains. It was one of my best stays, with comfort like a five-star hotel. The whole setting was tranquil and full of good taste. Absolutely fabulous, and I’ll be back!
