The food was delicious and tasted local, and the garden was lovely with a beautiful sea view. Still, the place is a long way from everything, so I wouldn't stay here for more than two days. Hot water was rarely available and the water pressure was poor. Heavy rain also led to water leaking into the rooms. Check the price in advance whenever Upali offers trips or transport.

The property was spotless and beautifully kept, with spacious rooms and lovely surroundings where we even saw monkeys and lizards. We spent four days at the villa and had two tasty homemade traditional meals each day, which made our stay feel special and authentic. The private beach was a real highlight, with room to relax, swim, and snorkel peacefully. The owner was attentive and handled all the arrangements smoothly. He and his family also invited us to celebrate New Year with them, which felt warm and personal. We had a great day trip too, with lunch packages, a safari, and stops at herb gardens and tea plantations. It was unforgettable. We'd happily return, a 5/5 stay.
