I can't recommend this guest house. The bathroom was filthy, and the bedsheets smelled strongly unpleasant and felt itchy. The sanitary conditions overall were unacceptable, and the cleanliness standards were extremely poor.

There are AC and non-AC rooms on the upper floors, and the price can be reasonable. It's within 500 meters of the Mannar bus stand, making it a good option when visiting the city. There's no elevator, though.

The service seemed good to me, and the rooms were middle level. The Mannar Guest House is near Mannar town, but it may not suit you if you want a beautiful, quiet environment. You can arrange rooms to fit your group size, and there's a kitchen and dining area.

For a budget short stay, the rate of 4000/- per day should suit you. The guest house is about 200M from Mannar main bus stand, close to Mannar town, and the manager, who lives in the basement, is very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and had air conditioning. Bring your own bedsheets and covers, as the ones provided aren't very good.
