The room itself was fine, but several things made our stay uncomfortable. The host sometimes appeared without warning and looked through the windows, including once while I was changing and another time when I was in bed with my partner. He also came into the room unannounced to check the bathroom. When my girlfriend stayed for a week, he asked for a 25% price increase. That was his choice, but the way he raised it felt unfriendly and unprofessional. I had told the owner ahead of time that my partner would visit for a week and paid the extra nightly amount he requested. Nothing was done ‘fraudulently,’ despite the accusation in the owner’s response. We didn’t damage anything either, and I don’t know what he means. The response says a lot about his general attitude: beneath a thin layer of friendliness, he seemed callous and disturbing. There’s no direct beach access, so you have to cross a swampy lagoon or try to go through a nearby resort. Wi-Fi was very unreliable, with frequent outages and uploads around 0.5 Mbps, so working online was impossible. I left with mixed feelings and didn’t find the atmosphere welcoming.

It’s about a seven-minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach with a 180-degree panoramic view. The rooms are newly built and cozy, and the surroundings are tranquil, making it a memorable stay for a family. They can serve authentic Sri Lankan home-cooked food on request.

Sea Glow Tangalle gave me the quiet and space to recharge. Away from the noise and bustle, it’s surrounded by nature and has a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and made sure I was comfortable. A lovely retreat if you want to relax, enjoy nature, or just have some quiet time. I highly recommend it when visiting Sri Lanka.

We stayed six nights in the family room with air conditioning. It was all very clean, with good beds and mosquito nets. There’s also a kitchen upstairs with a fridge guests can use. Nothing to complain about, and we’d gladly stay here again.

We spent a couple of days in the family room and had a great stay. It opens onto a lovely garden, and the whole place is new, clean, and in perfect condition. The beds were especially comfortable. It’s close to both the Mangrove and Tangalle beach, and the hosts are super friendly. Breakfast and dinner were both awesome. We highly recommend it.
