Esperanza Beach Villa

Ashan made me a great passionfruit margarita after a friendly young man approached me on the beach and told me about the restaurant and cocktails. He also showed me the lunch and dinner menu and pointed me to the website, where the rooms looked great. The sea was calm and warm enough for a swim, even though the day was cloudy when I visited. I can only imagine what it's like on a sunny SL day. I'd definitely consider staying here next time.

The meals were a real treat, especially the traditional curries, fresh fruit, and other local favourites, all full of authentic Sri Lankan flavour. Everything was carefully served with a lovely beach view. They can also arrange breakfast or dinner right by the beach, where the sound of the waves and sea breeze made the meal feel unforgettable. The staff set up a beautiful, peaceful spot by the ocean, and every dish was presented so nicely.

The rooms were cosy, though they could use some renovation and a bit more care. Everything else was nearly on point from the start, with attentive staff who made our group of friends feel at home. The food was great, and they adjusted it to our requests without any fuss, though it was a little pricey. Kudos to team Esperanza for the good spirit. We'd recommend it and will come again.

The hotel setting felt like paradise, with the accommodation looking out over a stunning pool. The staff were attentive and sorted the little things we needed, like refilling our water bottle and bringing Sri Lankan breakfast, a kettle, and mugs for the room. My friend and I would gladly recommend staying here. And a big shout out to Ashan for the delicious cocktails.
