We were here for a month and had a great stay. The rooms are bright, spacious, and clean, with big windows that kept humidity from being an issue. Our kitchen was set up on the terrace, which made for a really nice atmosphere, and it had the basics we needed: a fridge, hob, tap, kettle, and utensils. The house is close to everything on the map, with the beach an easy walk away. Most of all, the host was the kindest person we met in Mirissa. Whenever we asked for something, they helped quickly and well. Would recommend for solo travelers, couples, families, or groups.

The family who runs the place are lovely and friendly, and we had a nice two-night stay. It’s near the bus stop, and the beach takes about a slow 10-minute walk. Our room had a bed, table, chair, hot shower, and plenty of places to plug in electronics. Towels and toilet paper were provided. It got a little hot at night with just the fan, but for the price that’s hard to complain about. We’d come back.

We spent eight months at Nuwan Guest. The hosts were kind, friendly, and always helpful. The ground-floor apartments in the orange house have small kitchens, which was really convenient. There are restaurants with good food nearby, and both the supermarket and the ocean are about a seven-minute walk away.

There’s a small garden in front of the house, and the place is nicely tucked away from the main road, so it stays quiet. The family is lovely, and it’s about a seven-minute walk to the beach, with lots of cafes and restaurants close by.
