Seashore Mirissa

There’s a restaurant on site, and the room had tea and coffee facilities, towels, toilet paper, and a warm shower. The bed was comfortable enough, though my wife found it a bit tall to climb into, lol. She also liked the greenery in the middle of the place. It’s well situated for restaurants, shops, and the beach, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was quite good. At checkout we had trouble finding someone, but eventually let ourselves out through the gates.

The sea view rooms have a nice location, but the room service was terrible. Our rooms were okay, though the towels were filthy with little hairs on them, and there was no water from the taps. We called for help and no one answered. We also asked them to have breakfast ready for our whale watching trip, but he refused both to serve breakfast and to pack food for us. A big no for this hotel. Don’t spoil your vacation.

I stayed in a quiet cottage at the back, without a view, which suited me well. The beach was a short walk away and there was a nice restaurant downstairs. The staff were friendly and very helpful, even keeping my luggage all day when I had an evening flight. Before I left for the airport, they also let me use a bathroom and gave me a fresh towel. My room was clean, and the electricity and air conditioning both worked properly. I had a pleasant, relaxing stay at Seashore Mirissa, quite different from some negative reviews I’d read beforehand, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful place close to the beach.

There was construction going on, with constant noise all day, and we had a terrible experience. There was no room service at all. They call it a sea-view hotel, but trees completely block the view, so you can’t actually see the sea.
