The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful throughout, whether we needed help planning the next part of our trip in Sri Lanka, wanted a challenging pool match, or had a special request for a meal. Their service and the beauty of the hotel made both our stays wonderful. We're already looking forward to coming back and enjoying more real quality time. We've stayed in the Mango Suite twice, in April and October 2025. It's spacious, with a comfortable bed, couch and basket sofa. The bathroom is beautifully designed, with a rain shower and a large raised window that brings in lots of light while still giving 100% privacy. The rooms and facilities sit inside a traditional Sri Lankan building, but have a very modern, luxurious design. The rest of the property is also well cared for, clean and colorful, with lots of places to sit or lie down in the sun or shade.

I loved the pet tortoises so much, and the pool is delicious. This was the best place we stayed during our 3-week journey around Sri Lanka. It felt like being in a welcoming home, with kind, helpful, delightful staff and attention to detail that's second to none. Miss you already, Dickman Resort! See you next time :)

For the first time in my life, I was happy to sit by the pool and do absolutely sweet FA for three whole days. It was magical. Dickmans is an oasis in the mirage, with a huge, nice deep pool, massive rooms and a massive, ultra-comfy bed. There's 24hr entry and a 24hr bar, too. The staff are brilliant, kind and wonderful. If you lie by the pool long enough, they bring you juice and cake on the house. And the fruit plate by the pool every day is life-affirming. PS, they have two adorable tortoises.

The rooms are gorgeous, the property is lovely, the pool is spacious, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious. There's a wonderfully chill vibe, and Dick and the team are always a delight. A lovely boutique hotel with big rooms, beautiful decor, a nice pool and garden, and very friendly staff. It's centrally located but still very calm.
