We had a comfortable, clean room with air conditioning, a mosquito net, kettle, water and tea, and the bed was good too. We felt right at home and already miss Nishantha and Anu. Nisha took us to Anawilundawa, about an hour from Negombo, where we got to see its incredible biodiversity. We also took a Negombo city tour, and learned so much from Nisha about Sri Lanka and its culture. Anu’s cooking was amazing. We had lunch and dinner there every day, and woke up to a delicious breakfast each morning. It was great to try different local dishes, but be ready to eat a lot! We spent four nights at their home. They’re such kind, friendly people, always ready to help. They were our first introduction to Sri Lanka, and it couldn’t have been better. We recommend them 100%.

The homemade meals were a highlight, and such a good way to try Sri Lankan food since we started our trip in Negombo. We also went with Nisha to Anawilundawa, around an hour from Negombo, for its rich biodiversity and lovely sunrise scenery. His Negombo city tour was great too. Anu also organizes food tours, which we hope we can try in the future. Nisha and his wife Anu are exactly why we love homestays. They’re joyful, kind hosts and know so much about Sri Lanka. Their adorable, comfortable home made us feel at home the whole time. Thanks again, folks, we had a great stay!

We only stayed one night after our flight, and everything worked out perfectly. The room and bathroom were clean, there was air conditioning, and breakfast was tasty. The hosts were helpful and friendly, and spoke good English. I recommend staying here.

Nisha looked after us so well and made us feel at home. The room had everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, and the whole place was very clean. Breakfast was delicious too. We stayed with Nisha and his wife at the start of our trip, and our friend stayed there at the end. We all had a lovely time and would highly recommend this nice couple.
