We had the family room and it worked really well. The breakfast was fabulous, with Sri Lankan and western choices, and came with a friendly smile. We also had a lovely dinner there one evening. The lady in charge kindly gave us a clay pot for cooking curries when we get home. She offers cooking classes too, though we didn’t have time to try one and can only imagine they’re very good. We stayed here on both the first and last nights of our trip, and it’s conveniently close to the beach and airport.

The rooms were comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s a cosy little hotel with very friendly owners and obliging staff. I’d happily recommend it to anyone on a budget who still wants good service.

Judith also offers cooking classes, and the food is really nice. We had good wifi, a great breakfast, and a lovely pool. The rooms are modern and clean, and the owners are very kind and helpful. A wonderful place, highly recommended.

The beach is just a short walk away, and we really enjoyed our time at Suriya Arana. Saman and Judith were incredible hosts, and the food was delicious and full of flavour. Our room and the pool were both very clean, with the pool especially nice for an evening swim. We have no complaints about the hosts. I’d recommend staying here, it’s worth the money.

The food they serve is delicious, and the house is beautiful, well cared for, and in a good location. Judith, Saman, and the staff made us feel welcome. They were helpful and pleasant throughout.
