The view over town and the mountains is lovely, much like the one from the viewpoint, and the spot at the edge of town is beautiful. Getting there and parking were a real challenge in our van, though the access road is beyond ChezAllen’s control. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Some more training might help them work more efficiently and notice what needs doing. Our first room had a very strong smell, so we asked to move and they arranged it. In another room the quilt or blanket smelled and clearly hadn’t been washed. The rooms could use more attention to detail. One kettle didn’t work and was replaced, while the other rooms had none. We only got two complimentary tea bags for a four-day stay, and water in the room could have been replenished. Those small things, along with better room amenities, would improve the quality. Even so, we had a pleasant stay. Thank you.

The rooftop has spectacular views, and it’s worth visiting the restaurant for the food. The hotel sits high above the city beside pine-covered hills, so it’s very peaceful. The rooms are set out impressively and the games room is comfortable and well furnished. For a better view, ask for a room on the second floor, since the kitchen is on the first. A cable TV in the restaurant and cleaner rooms would be good improvements.

We only wished we could stay longer and explore more. The town views from the rooftop are beautiful, and there are lounges on every floor where you can relax. The hotel has fun decor, and our room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful, and we got a welcome tea, which was a nice touch.

It’s a beautiful cottage up on the mountain, and especially lovely at night. The center is a bit away, about a 10-minute walk. We liked the food and service, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean with a nice atmosphere. I’d love to return and would recommend it to others.
