A few minutes’ walk gets you to the ocean, and there’s a good restaurant near the beach. The grounds are wonderful and spacious, and the host gave us an incredible level of hospitality. The room had good facilities: a fan, AC, hot water, WI-FI, and a table to work at. They also arranged a bike for me. I’d suggest taking more care of the outdoor area by clearing fallen palm parts and organizing a reception. Even so, it’s a great place to stay, and I totally recommend it to everyone. A small, low-cost chalet-style place with lots of space around it. It’s very calm, though a bit isolated at the end of rakawa road. The family running it is friendly and offers good tips. The amazing beach is about 600m away, I guess, reached by a short walk on a private path owned by the family. Our room was super cheap and had no AC, but the greenery around it kept things cool. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, and they make a wonderful breakfast too. We had a great time there for New Year 2020. The road in is narrow and bumpy in places, so drive carefully. It’s not good for vehicles with very low ground clearance, although we managed in a fully loaded car without any trouble. Thanks, guys, keep it up. #beach #sun #cool #food

Surrounded by greenery, it’s a calm and peaceful spot. The owner is a super kind, friendly lady. The beach is around a 10 minute walk away, almost private, safe for bathing, and has stunning views.

They took us in without a reservation after we’d had an unpleasant experience elsewhere, gave us a discount, and even treated us to Christmas dinner for free. The staff were so helpful and friendly, the nicest people we met in Sri Lanka, and they arranged turtle watching too. Everything was perfect. We strongly recommend staying here.
