Covanro Sigiriya - Luxury Haven

The staff made our stay at Covanro Sigiriya Hotel special. Ms Sandum in the restaurant was warm, friendly and clearly passionate about her work, and she made dining memorable. Me Ravi looked after guests around the pool with such attentiveness and good cheer that we arrived as guests and left as his friends. Keep practicing your cricket, Ravi, you might be as good as Ricky Ponting one day! We enjoyed our stay, but the hotel feels a little outdated in places and could use refurbishment. Our room, 150, was extremely noisy because tour buses started their engines through the night. Their fumes also came into the room and affected our comfort. That’s why I’ve given four stars rather than five.

The rooms were spacious, clean and really nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, often going the extra mile without being asked. We used covanro sigiriya as our base for three nights while visiting Sigiriya Rock, a nearby national park for a safari and other activities. Breakfast and dinner buffets were top quality. We couldn’t find a single flaw.

During the first week of this month, I stayed at Covanro Sigiriya with my cousin’s family while they were on holiday. They loved the beautiful, luxurious property and the excellent service. Mr. Vranakula Sooriya, the General Manager, deserves a special thank you for his kind attention and personal touch. It made their stay truly unforgettable.

The grounds are beautiful, and the lounge areas are pleasant places to relax. Dinner and breakfast buffets were great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d stay again. One thing to consider: the pool areas can get very slippery, so non-slip surfaces might help, as would handrails on the stairs.
