The villa is spacious and well located, with a great view over the lake. There were plenty of birds, mongoose and monkeys around. The staff were fantastic, as they are everywhere in Sri Lanka. Sorry about the beach photo. I couldn’t delete it.

From the infinity pool, the setting feels special, and the property sits right by the entrance to the wildlife area. If you're lucky, elephants may pass by. The rooms are beautifully built and super comfortable. They're expanding the room count right now, so don't let that put you off. I'd definitely come back soon with friends. A must-stay.

We loved how quiet it was, with nature and exotic birds all around, plus a lovely view over the green areas. The pool was wonderful too. Staff were so welcoming, and thanks to the chef for the great local food. They're adding more rooms at the moment, but the construction didn't bother us. Our best recommendations. The greenery and all the animals you can spot made for a great view, and the food was good. We also had spacious rooms, a pool, and very good service at breakfast and dinner. A couple of things could be better. The room wasn't made up, towels barely dried in the bathroom, and there was no water refill for coffee or tea. Wi-Fi let us connect to the router, but there was no internet in the room. The light switches are placed so randomly that going to the bathroom at night without turning on an unwanted light and waking the other person is almost impossible.

My family had a good day here. The room was very spacious for all of us, and we enjoyed the pool and the view across to Sigiriya & Pidurangala rocks. The food was good too. Staff service was excellent, especially Mr. Niyangoda's exceptional hospitality. I'd recommend the hotel for a stay.
