Danu made our stay at Danu homestay special, from arranging a great safari to taking us on a lovely sunrise hike at Parangula Rock. He also showed us around Polonnaruwa and shared a lot of local knowledge, and even bought us fresh coconuts. For nature, adventure, and genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, this is a wonderful place. I can't recommend it enough.

Danu made me feel at home as soon as I arrived, and was so friendly and helpful. We also took up his offer of a day tour around sigirya. He hiked the pidurangala rock with us, took us to an ancient city, kindly bought us coconuts to drink, then finished the day with an elephant safari. It really made our trip, and I'd absolutely recommend the homestay and the tour.

Danu is a wonderful man, and his homestay was clean, comfortable, and really nice. Sigiriya and Pidurangala Rock are close by, and there's a restaurant worth trying, with delicious food. It was one of my best homestays in Sri Lanka. Thanks, Danu. If I come back to your beautiful country, I'll stay longer! 🙏

Danu really cares about his guests and helped us feel at ease throughout our stay. He gave us useful restaurant tips and can arrange trips if you need them. At the end, he drove us to Anuradhapura himself for a fair price. The room is small, but clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at Danu Homestay and highly recommend it.

After a full day out, Danu took us back for an amazing home cooked dinner at his little restaurant. His wife made fresh, healthy local food in the Sri Lankan style, all vegetarian and delicious, and breakfast was great too. We spent three nights in a cosy AC room with a great bed and private bathroom. The water pressure was fabulous and the water hot, and there’s a nice spot to sit outside. Danu is also a great guide, offering lots of ideas for things to do without pressuring us. We could explore and take photos at our own pace.
