Mitrayu

A real little gem in a handy part of Colombo, and very reasonably priced. The lady hosting was so kind to me, even after I accidentally brought the room keys with me to Kandy. I managed to courier them back to her, though, lol. Best place I’ve stayed in Colombo so far!

Banks and restaurants are close by, and you can get a taxi in a minute. Even though it’s in a busy area, the place itself is peaceful, with no noise from other rooms. It’s clean, roomy and cozy, and feels more like staying in a home than a hotel. If you’re after a hotel-style stay, it may not be for you. The outside looks a bit dull, so don’t judge it by the cover. The owner is a very kind, polite lady who pays attention to our safety and needs. For the price, this is one of the best places I’ve stayed. Much recommended.

There’s a roomy bedroom with its own bathroom, plus a little pantry with a kettle and fridge. You can iron your clothes here too. The owner is friendly, and the price is reasonable.

The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were genuinely friendly. There’s air conditioning, a washing machine, an iron and a handy spot in the garden to hang laundry. The place has everything we needed. We’re grateful to the owners for making all of it available, and thank you for everything.
