We could hear mostly the sea during the day, and the road behind the property never disturbed us in the room. The beach right outside was clean and had very few people around, with a restaurant across the street. The accommodation is basic, but has what you need, including solid AC and a mosquito net. The owner is easygoing and attentive, offering tea and coconuts. His English is very basic, but his son was easy to talk to. Breakfast was nice, and we had tasty dinners there twice. Good value for money.

The sea views right by the water are stunning, and Unawatuna is only a short tuk tuk ride away, though the place is a little out of town. We had a basic room with comfortable beds, but it smelled a bit and felt run down. As expected, there was no hot water. Breakfast was okay, the staff were friendly, and for the price it wasn't bad.
