We spent four months together here and ended up feeling almost like one family. We celebrated birthdays and holidays and shared traditional dishes from our different cuisines. Thilakawardana and Violet became like our Sri Lankan grandparents, always quick to help with anything we needed. The grounds are green, with little animals and birds around, and the ocean is about a minute away. You can see it from the upper floors. The rooms are good for the price. We loved staying here and hope to return someday. Don’t let a low Google Maps rating put you off, it’s a great guesthouse, not a spa or restaurant.

The hosts feel like family, and their dog Raven is my personal favorite, the sweetest, funniest, prettiest pup. Diana and Violet also make the best coconut sambol on the whole island, no joke. We stayed for five months and never regretted choosing this place. The rooms are cute and clean, with a range of prices, including affordable options. The leafy grounds have a huge, majestic tree that keeps things cooler. You’re less than a minute from the main road, but far enough back to avoid the traffic noise and fumes. The ocean is about a minute away, just across the road.

We stayed for over a month and were so glad to have Diana and her family nearby. They helped whenever we needed advice or anything else, and Diana and her children played with our one- and three-year-olds. Our daughter especially loved the youngest child. They gave our kids birthday presents, and we gave them something too. The grandparents were also very helpful and pleasant. Thank you for the stay! The children’s beach is 200 meters away.

We arrived without a booking and took a room for three nights. It’s a comfortable, pleasant place close to the beach but far enough from the main road and its crazy bus drivers leaning on their horns. We slept really well.

I really enjoyed staying here and recommend it to other guests. The Sri Lankan and Western food tasted great, and the sea view area is beautiful. Thanks to the hotel management, Mis Diana Thilakawardana and Mis Werarathna jayasuriya.
