The jungle view

The yoga classes and venue were great, and I highly recommend the restaurant's coffee and breakfast. They also have water for refilling bottles. My room was okay, just outside the main jungle property but very close by. Communication with reception was a little difficult, and phone calls or messages through booking were slow. I'd still recommend it and would like to come back :)

The morning yoga was complimentary and a real highlight, peaceful and refreshing. Breakfast was delicious, served among lush tropical greenery. The staff were attentive, professional, and very accommodating throughout our stay at Jungle View in Mirissa. It's a good spot, about a five-minute walk from the main road and its bars and restaurants. In the evenings we walked down to the beach for fresh fish by the water, a lovely end to each day.

I came for a Monday morning yoga class, not to stay at the hotel. Caro clearly knows her stuff. The opening flow was thoughtfully prepared, and I really liked the long meditation and the asanas she chose. She demonstrated the poses and came by several times to help with alignment. The shala upstairs had a lovely view over the trees.

We got great value for money compared with other places we saw in Mirissa, and would love to return one day. The staff were kind and gave us a 10/10 stay. My partner and I were impressed by the room at Jungle View. It was calm, clean, and solidly put together, with plenty of space. After enjoying nearby amenities within walking distance, including the beach, gym, spas, cafes, and restaurants, it was lovely to come back to the cool room, stretch out on the comfortable bed, or sit on the balcony.
