The rooms were okay, but there’s no lift, which was hard with my bad knee and our suitcases. We called for help, then ended up carrying them ourselves until someone met us near reception and took them the last few steps. It’s useful that they pack breakfast for safari guests who miss the hotel breakfast. We left ours at reception to pick up when we returned at 10am, but the boxes had apparently been sitting there since 5am. Chicken mayo and tuna mayo sandwiches left out of the fridge for five hours? I don’t think so. There was a boiled egg and a sausage in the box too, which also didn’t seem okay.

The pool was clean and well kept, and a nice place to unwind after a long day. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with lovely views of nature. The food had plenty of variety and was delicious. Chaarya Resort & Spa had a calm, relaxing feel, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. The service and setting went beyond what I expected. It made for a comfortable, luxurious break in Sri Lanka. I’d recommend it for a relaxing stay, and I’ll definitely visit again ❤️✨

We were three people in two rooms for two nights, and it worked well as a base for a Yala National Park safari. The rooms were roomy and comfortable, with large bathrooms that had a rain shower, handheld shower, and corner bath. Breakfast had plenty to choose from and was good. Dinner was just okay the first night, but excellent on the second. As is often the case at Sri Lankan hotels at this level, the staff were lovely and friendly. Special mention to Ravidu in the restaurant.

There’s a good range of food and drinks, and the hotel offers the basics you need for a stay at good value. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Rooms and amenities are available, along with swimming pools, gym facilities, and massage services. We had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend it. Room number 138 14/05/2026

The staff made our stay especially pleasant. They were polite, friendly, and quick to help, and the service was outstanding. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the food was delicious with good variety and quality. We had a great stay at Chaarya Resort & Spa and would definitely recommend it.
