Walawe Park View Hotel

Our room was fine, with working AC, and the bed and breakfast were 10/10. We got in late, so Mohan kindly offered us dinner. Later, when we needed to catch the bus to Tangalle, he stopped the RIGHT bus for us and kept us from being scammed. He's a really kind, trustworthy guy, and the safari with him was an amazing experience.

We stopped here for one night on the way back to colombo after a long 03days family trip, since I was worn out. It was a good budget place, and my whole family was happy staying there. We also had a nice Safari Service, and they can arrange food however you like. A good place to spend the night!

The safari was the best part for me. We drove through beautiful nature and saw lots of wildlife, and our guide chose routes that other vehicles weren't taking. We were usually on our own and away from the hundreds of other jeeps. The owner of Walawa park view hotel and the staff have such good hearts, and everyone was so friendly. They welcomed us with tea and big smiles, and even decorated the bed with flowers. There was AC and a fan to cool the room. My friends and I stayed two nights, and I truly loved the whole experience. Definitely worth the time and money.

We came mainly for the owner's safari, and it was great, so we got what we hoped for. The owner was really nice, and the room was cheap and fine for a single night before the morning trip, though it was old, nothing special and could have been cleaner. The water pressure was very good. He's building a new floor, so the new rooms should be better. You can rent bicycles too. One had a flat tyre from the day before, but they fixed it for us.
