The cooking class with Hansi was great fun, and we learned a lot, so make time for it if you can. Sachi also arranged our safari and got up at 5:30am to bring us water and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our driver, Asanka, was calm, knowledgeable and respectful of the animals. After the early start, we came back to a lovely breakfast. Sachi and Hansi were fantastic hosts and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, with good air conditioning, and the well-kept pool was a great place to relax. We had a wonderful stay at Wild Nest Safari, highly recommend it, and would happily come back.

Our family room was huge, with two large, comfortable beds, and the bathroom looked stunning. The large pool was clean and set in lovely surroundings. The hotel is brand new and stylish, and everything felt fresh and impeccably clean. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. We had a great stay and highly recommend it!

We got a welcome drink when we arrived, and the staff were so kind and friendly. The room was spotless, with hot water and AC. There's a little restaurant across from the hotel, or you can eat on site, where they'll cook whatever you want at very reasonable prices. We ordered noodles for three and a big bowl of fruit with water for 8€. Breakfast is included and delicious. There's a pool, pool towels, and they even let us use the downstairs shower after we'd checked out. I can't believe this place is so good for so little. It's in a great location, and if I come back to Udawalawe, I'd book here again. You definitely have to stay here!

The pool was a lovely place to relax and cool off, and it was peaceful off the road. The family-run hotel is well placed for the National Park. The owners were welcoming and friendly, the rooms were cool and clean, and the showers were excellent. They arranged our safari with a knowledgeable guide, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast was top notch too 👌🏻

We really enjoyed the manager's kindness and outstanding service. He arranged an amazing safari for the following morning. The modern rooms were clean and comfortable, with a nice balcony that gave us a jungle feeling, and the hotel is very near Udawalawe national park. We also liked the clean pool and had a great breakfast and dinner here. Would totally recommend this place! 🫶🌿🌴🐘
