Amour Surf

The staff were very friendly, and the rooftop views are stunning. It’s close to Silent beach and really near Unakuruwa beach. Our room was spacious, and breakfast was simple but more than enough. There was a strong smell in the room, maybe from cleaning products, and it even got into my clothes. Apart from that, it was a lovely stay.

The owner was really nice and helpful, even in an unusual situation like a scorpion bite. Silent Beach is only a few minutes away on foot, and it’s beautiful. The terrace has a fantastic view, and breakfast among the palm trees was amazing, with squirrels and monkeys running around. The staff were smiling and helpful too. My room was simple but very clean, and had everything I needed. Great value for the price.

We were well looked after by the host, who arranged a Tuk Tuk for us. The place is very close to the beach and some great restaurants. We had a really comfortable two-night stay in a clean, modern ground floor room overlooking the garden, with a warm shower and air conditioning that worked well. The roof terrace was fab, and we had breakfast there each morning with a view over the sea. We recommend it.

Amour Surf was a peaceful retreat, modern and well placed for some of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beaches. Silent Beach was breathtaking and the highlight of our trip. The hotel was exceptionally clean, with spacious rooms furnished in a stylish way. Breakfast each morning was balanced and delicious, and dinner included freshly caught fish and even lobster, expertly prepared. Alanaka, the owner, was incredibly kind and always went out of his way to help with whatever we needed. I highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway with great service, and hope to return one day.
