It’s in a lovely setting for quiet beach walks and sunsets, with the ocean sounds and sea breeze making everything feel calm. From the moment we arrived, Dalawella Beach Resort felt peaceful and welcoming. The staff were thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable. A really relaxing break in a beautiful part of Sri Lanka.

On our last night, after 11 PM, hotel staff knocked on our door to tell us turtles were laying eggs on the beach. We were lucky to see it, and it was unforgettable. At Dalawella Beach Resort over New Year’s, we also enjoyed the traditional Sri Lankan food and the oil candle ceremony on January 1st. Everyone was incredibly kind, especially Rumesh, our favorite person we met in Sri Lanka. He paid close attention to my dietary restrictions and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. He even served me several dishes his family had prepared, which felt personal and heartfelt. We felt truly welcome and would highly recommend the place.

After two weeks travelling around Sri Lanka and staying at six different beach resorts, I can say Dalawalla beach resort had the best rooms of them all. Ours was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had a lovely balcony overlooking the beach. The location is great, with a beautiful beach right outside the restaurant. I’d happily return and can’t recommend it enough.

A lovely spot right on the beach in a quiet part of Unawatuna. The ocean views are amazing, the staff are friendly, and you can get great food by the sea. Perfect for relaxing and switching off. I’d happily stay again.

We spent one day and one night at Dalawella Beach Resort and had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was very good, and the atmosphere relaxing. The sea-view restaurant is a highlight, with its peaceful feel and great view. A nice beachside place to stay.
