We really enjoyed staying at Hotel J Unawatuna, and would definitely come back. The food was really good, the price felt fair for what we got, and the location was excellent, close to the beach and nightlife. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked perfectly. Service from the staff was good throughout. Highly recommended! 🌊✨

We booked a room-only standard room with AC for LKR 11,300 per night. It was clean, comfortable, and well looked after, so we had a relaxing, enjoyable stay at Hotel J Unawatuna. The service was good too. Thanks for the hospitality!

Walkable beach access, and all the local landmarks were within 10 mins. There are two small supermarkets and a pharmacy next to the hotel. It was a cheap stay with great food and exceptional service.

We booked a six-bunk room for two nights and three days. It was nice, and both the room and bathroom were clean. Having four separate bathrooms, two with showers and two with toilets, meant we could all use them at once. The pool was really nice too. They provide towels, soap, and bedsheets, and there’s hot water. Tea and coffee, bottled water, a hair dryer, and an iron weren’t provided automatically, but they gave us a dryer and iron when we asked. Staff didn’t really check in or ask if we needed anything during our stay. There was only a rubbish bin in the bathroom, none in the room, which made dealing with trash a bit awkward. Mosquitoes in the room were also bothersome at night. The location is great for getting to both Galle and Unawatuna, and having a Cargills Food City right across from the hotel is very convenient.

The food wasn’t quite to our taste. The place had a lovely, relaxed vibe and was clean, but seeing clothes hung over the balcony took away from that atmosphere a bit. It looked like some foreigners were getting a little too comfortable 😅. A small thing, but it caught us off guard.
