The rice and curry set had generous portions, with several curries, coconut sambol, and especially tasty dhal curry. Everything tasted homemade and arrived hot and fresh, and service was quick. The menu also has traditional options like kottu and hoppers. Inside, the warm atmosphere and Sri Lankan-inspired design made for a welcoming meal, with kind, attentive staff. A good choice for locals and visitors wanting Sri Lankan food.

The location is fantastic, and breakfast was really good. I had a room in the new wing, which had only opened a week earlier. It was spacious, comfortable, well designed, and had a good feel to it. The staff were amazingly friendly, including Priyantha, Sachintha, Sampath, the bar staff, and everyone else. Mr. Duminda, the owner, was around and very hospitable. I’d recommend the Kingfisher hotel.

A few steps from the beach restaurant and you’re on the sand and in the water. The location is fantastic, the rooms are beautiful, and the pricing is good. Breakfast was a nice start to the day, and Pradeep, the restaurant manager, is lovely and fun. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Weekends can get a bit noisy, though that’s expected on the party strip. Hope to return! 🌸💖🌸

We were offered a room with a nicer view and were glad we took it. The rooms are lovely, and the manager was kind and attentive. The staff were very helpful too. We didn’t run into the noisy party that other people have mentioned, and we’d happily stay here again.

As a tourist guide, I put my guests’ comfort and safety first. I was disappointed to find that at Kingfisher Beach Hotel, guides and drivers have to buy a ticket just to accompany guests to events. That makes it harder to do my job and affects the guest experience. I won’t bring guests back to this hotel unless this changes. I urge them to rethink the policy and support the guides who help keep guests safe.
