Saffron Hotel

We only stopped to charge our car, but the staff were so friendly that they invited us in to wait until it was done. We ordered coffee from the restaurant and really enjoyed it. Such good hospitality!

After swimming at the beach across the road, I was outside the hotel using the hose they had out to wash their cars to rinse my feet. The staff kindly invited me in. I said I was wet and couldn't come inside, but they insisted. I cleaned up in their super clean washroom, then sat on a wooden chair so I wouldn't get their cushions damp. They insisted I sit on a cushion too, but I refused. I had an AMAZING vegan breakfast platter. The coconut sambal was made from scratch for me, and it was incredible. The daal and coconut rice were great as well. The staff are so sweet. I'm going back tomorrow to be treated the same way again.

I was here on vacation in Sri Lanka with family and friends. The place was very clean, and the food was delicious, but what impressed me most was the outstanding service. I wanted to thank the team for it. This is a must-visit in the area. Manager Vinod, front office Umar and Theekshana, restaurant team Sujith, Anjula, and Oshada, and kitchen team chef Anura, cook Gamini, Udesh, Akila, and Chamuditha.

We stopped around 11:30 for an early lunch on the way to the resort where we were staying. The food was ready in about 20 minutes, and each portion was more than enough for two. It tasted great, and the staff were very accommodating. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. Most desserts were a little pricey, but the pineapple fritters were amazing and fairly priced. I'd recommend having lunch here.
