The receptionist was genuinely helpful, and the place is only a few metres from Unawatuna beach. The room was decent for the price, too. Four of us friends stayed there. We had called ahead and were told the family room would cost 10k for one night. At check-in, they quoted 12k, though in the end they let us have it for 10k. We also asked for a bottle of water and weren't given one. The service left a bad impression. The manager, owner, or whoever the man there was seemed not to care about customers, and didn't even smile. Maybe that attitude is just toward local guests, since some hotel staff seem to expect only foreigners. We felt locals weren't valued. They should learn customer service, especially the man acting like the owner, and show local customers respect.

We had a really good break with friends, and the location was the highlight. It’s hard to beat having a chilled beer, good food and conversation while watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean. Our room was surprisingly large and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served as a buffet and was pretty good. For lunch and dinner, you can order from the beach restaurant. The menu is simple, but the food is yummy. Easy access to lovely Unawatuna beach, and I felt the stay was worth what we paid.

We spent three nights there at the beginning of September. The room was spacious, and the staff were very friendly. The location is great too, a few metres from the beach and close to lots of restaurants and bars. The bathroom was a different story. Everything was rusty, the toilet was broken, and we had to ask for a bucket to use during our stay. The shower sits in one corner, but the water doesn't drain away, so the whole bathroom was flooded after a shower. Totally unacceptable.

The breakfast was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The photos and the actual place were completely different. We booked a two bedroom bungalow but didn't stay in it because its condition was below any acceptable level, with everything old and rusty. When we asked to change rooms, they offered us one that was a little better, but still far from good.

I enjoyed my two night stay. My room was nice and suited me, with a good view, and breakfast was good too. The resort is near the beach, with plenty to do nearby. White Jungle Beach and Galle are nice places to visit. When I was there, in the off season, construction and maintenance were underway. I think the resort will look very good once that work is finished, and I can recommend it to other travelers. Micheal from The Netherlands
