I stayed here once. The food was basic and the rooms weren't that great. The foreign owners or managers didn't seem friendly toward locals.

The view over the ocean is the best in Unawatuna, and the garden is lush and well kept, with loungers and a hammock. There are two monitor lizards and plenty of birds around. The pool was spotless, and breakfast was hearty. A big open veranda is great for evening discussions with Mr. Roger. Two flying foxes sleep in a nearby tree, and monkeys feed in the area below in the morning. Super place, and Super Roger Taylor! I wouldn't recommend the four-bed room because it's very cramped. The standard facilities are good, and the honeymoon in the garden is absolutely superb. A very good place to relax.

The grounds were cozy, the rooms were cleaned, and it was a nice surprise that they didn't take the tips we left on the bed. We liked the villa, though it would have been good to have an option to order a chef to cook fish from Fish Market. There was only one downside for us: water in the refrigerator. At the end of the vacation, paying a dollar per bottle came as a surprise for our large family.

The hotel was clean and not bad, and the owner is a decent guy. The three rating is thanks to him. Breakfast is just eggs, bread, jam, butter, and tea or coffee. Juice costs extra. There's a kitchen and a grill, but my wife wouldn't let me use either. His wife leaves much to be desired.
