Sea View Beach Unawatuna Hotel

The owner, manager and staff were warm and welcoming, and the property itself is one of the hotel’s best features. It’s right in front of the beach, though they’re building another property on the beach. Our room was clean but quite small, and didn’t have basic things like soap or water. Breakfast was decent, but I didn’t see much happening in the kitchen beyond that. We booked online about a month ahead. The number on the booking was wrong when we called the day before check-in. We arrived at night in a heavy storm and power cut, and nobody was at the property. We called a few times before someone came to show us the room. Nobody helped carry the bags up to the second floor.

A good budget option for a comfortable stay. The room was cozy and spacious, and the staff were friendly and gave good service. The bathroom could do with some renovation, but I had a good experience overall.

We really appreciated how hospitable the hotel was, including giving Ukrainian tourists shelter during this difficult time. Thank you! It’s a cozy hotel on Unawatuna beach. The room was okay, with AC and a fan, and they cleaned it when we asked. Internet was fine too. Breakfast included pasta, rice, eggs, curry, fresh fruit, tea, coffee and toast, and hotel guests could use the sun beds for free.

The rooms were very clean, the staff friendly, and the food delicious at reasonable prices. We had a wonderful time, and the hotel’s location is perfect for a gathering. It was well worth the money. Thank you, and I hope to visit again.
