The pricing is quite attractive, and the Sri Lankan food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff are attentive and friendly, and each chalet has plenty of parking. It isn’t a modern property, but it has a pleasant local, homely feel and is a very calm place to stay.

Really peaceful and relaxing here. Everything was neat and clean. The food tasted great, though there wasn't much to choose from. Service was welcoming and nice.

Set in a quiet village among greenery, Kumbukgahawatta Hotel has birds and squirrels around, and is about 1 km from Galle Road and 1.3 km from the beach and Indian Ocean. The cottages have air conditioning; guest rooms have private bathrooms with showers and toiletries. Parking is free. The hotel is 50 km from Kutunayake International Airport and 35 km south of Colombo City. The restaurant serves Sri Lankan dishes, with Chinese and western choices as well. A tour desk can arrange travel, including Colombo trips, and guests can request water sports or boat rides. Laundry and dry cleaning are also available.

The food is amazing, and the staff are friendly and very helpful. It’s not a luxurious place, and there are mosquitoes, so come prepared.
