The only thing we liked was their pet dog, an innocent, friendly creature. The room was clean, but there were mosquitoes and no sheets to cover ourselves with while sleeping. We felt uncomfortable because of some very strange incidents during our stay. The place felt weird overall, with no proper security and anyone able to access the premises. There are no CCTV cameras, which added to our safety concerns. I wouldn't recommend it to girls travelling alone or in groups, especially locals. Please think twice before visiting.

The family running the place are friendly, and it's close to the beach, with nice snorkeling spots where you can see turtles. Doctors house is only a few minutes away on foot. It's fine for a couple of nights in madiha. The downstairs room is quite small and basic, has no Aircon, and can get humid and damp. I'm not complaining, you get what you pay for.

The balcony is huge, with comfortable chairs and plenty of room for yoga. I liked waking early to watch the sun slowly settle. The beds have beautiful blankets that add to the cozy feel. It's a calm, comfortable homestay where the kind, friendly family make it easy to settle in for a while. Rooms are affordable, and you can use the kitchen and its huge fridge.

It's a quiet spot near Matara's beautiful beach, and Polhena beach is very quick to reach. The place is clean and the service is friendly. Rooms are available with AC or without.
