We chose this small hotel for our last night in Sri Lanka, about 30 minutes from the airport, and the stay was otherwise peaceful. In the middle of the night, a delivery boy rang the bell because a guest had ordered food from outside. It annoyed us, and we felt the couple responsible were inconsiderate and undisciplined. I felt sorry for the owners.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The room was tiny, unhygienic, and poorly maintained, with a rat hole. Water from another room leaked into my bathroom. Terrible stay.

The food was delicious, with a good range of nicely prepared dishes, and the family room gave our children plenty of space. Indika and the rest of the staff took such good care of us that we felt at home. We also met Nishan, the welcoming and attentive owner, who made sure guests felt special. We had a fantastic family stay, with clean, comfortable accommodation and a friendly atmosphere. I'd happily recommend it.

The location felt too far from Colombo's attractions, and water cost quite a lot, so bring your own bottles. We were upgraded to a family room, and the rooms and property were nice, but the service was pathetic. We had to carry our own luggage upstairs because the caretaker apparently had a back problem. Guests shouldn't have to haul their own bags at a hotel, so I suggest the owner arrange another caretaker.

A really bad night. Mosquitoes kept biting, and the bed sheets were dirty and smelled bad.
