The sea was audible from our very tranquil room, and the beach is about 100 metres away. The room was perfectly comfortable, with AC and a fan. Kumudu, the owner, was very helpful, and we had a lovely stay at beach corner.

The room and location were good, but dealing with the owner and worker was a real pain. They kept asking for money, even bringing another guy over to ask me about it. I’d given my passport and had money, but for two days, whenever I saw the owner, he told me to go to the bank. It was rude and made me feel like he thought I couldn’t afford to stay. I booked face to face, not online, yet he charged me more than the Booking price, which makes no sense since Booking takes a fee. This was my worst experience in Sri Lanka. The breakfast on day 2 made me throw up, it was ramen noodles with a boiled egg.

Beach corner is just a 1-minute walk from Weligama Beach, which is very convenient. The rooms are nice and tidy, and the huge garden is great for an outdoor BBQ. We had great hospitality and a relaxed, quality holiday. Highly recommend it.

The service was very good, and the place felt private and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with a beautiful garden out front that’s ideal for a garden party. It’s within walking distance of the Waligama bay beach. Highly recommended for all kinds of visitors.
