The house is spacious and clean, with a well-equipped kitchen opening onto a big balcony that’s lovely to hang out on in the evening. It’s only about a three-minute scooter ride to town and the beach. We’ve been travelling for four months and Nadee and her family were the best hosts we’ve had. She was always ready to help, shared recommendations, and often made us smoothies, coffee, and snacks. We also loved the nature around the house, waking up to peacocks and birds and seeing different kinds of monkeys in the nearby trees. We loved our stay and would go back in a heartbeat.

Everything about the stay was lovely, and the family running the place are so sweet. The room was great, though it was a little hot, as everywhere in Sri Lanka seems to be. There’s a great kitchen and a space to hang out and cook. A cheap scooter rental is just a two-minute walk away. I’d love to stay again.

We stayed at Sunhill Apartment as a family for about three weeks. It worked really well for a longer stay, with two bedrooms and attached bathrooms, plus a living room, kitchen, and balcony. It came with a gas cooker and gas, kitchen equipment, fast Wi-Fi, a fridge, washing machine, and cleaning supplies. The area is quiet, cool, and safe for an extended stay. The hosts were very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it for a relaxed long visit.

We spent a month with Nadee, Chamat, and Ashane and loved it. Nadee was so sweet, always bringing us tea and fruit juice. She even taught us to make dhal, which was the best we’ve ever had. The location is peaceful, but you can still walk to town or the beach in 10-15 minutes. We miss Nadee and her family now that we’ve left, and will definitely come back one day.
