Surasa Beach Resort is a comfortable, budget-friendly option. It isn’t a luxury resort, but it’s clean, welcoming, and practical. The AC worked perfectly after a day in the sun, and the common areas were well kept and nice to hang out in. The family hosting us were incredible and went out of their way to help. Ask for beach towels before heading out, and get their recommendations too. They connected us with great surfing schools and snorkeling lessons that made our trip. If your room faces the beach, road noise and the smell from the fish stalls can be a downside. Still, I’d happily come back for a friendly, high-quality stay without the luxury price.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. Surasa Beach Resort is just steps from the beach and close to everything I needed. I had a very nice stay and would happily recommend it.

Suranga deserves a special mention. Our trip was sudden and unplanned, but he made things easy, helping with bike rentals, getting us discounts on surf lessons, and arranging whale watching. He was always available and greeted us warmly. We stayed at Surasa Beach Resort for three nights and four days. It’s right by the beach, with surf schools close at hand and Weligama town centre nearby. Thanks to Suranga, the stay felt effortless and enjoyable. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Weligama. It was absolutely worth it.

The rooms were spotless, with good AC and comfortable beds for the price. Staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful the whole time. There are surf schools nearby, along with plenty of fish restaurants and nice bars where you can relax on the beach in the evening. Highly recommend.

Good people, good surfing, and a good vibe. This place is genuinely special, and you feel at home and part of a family as soon as you arrive. It’s a clean, beautiful boutique-style hotel in a great location, with a lovely yoga terrace near surf point. All the staff were unbelievably welcoming and helpful, which is what made it so special for me. I kept extending my stay because I loved it so much. Can’t wait to return.
